History
of Independence Day
On
June 11, 1776, the
colonies' Second
Continental Congress
meeting in
Philadelphia formed a
committee with the
express purpose of
drafting a document
that would formally
sever their ties with
Great Britain. The
document was crafted
by Thomas Jefferson,
who was considered the
strongest and most
eloquent writer. The
final version was
officially adopted by
the Continental
Congress on July 4,
declaring that the 13
American colonies were
no longer part of the
British Empire and
henceforth free and
independent states.
Independence Day
is commonly
associated with
fireworks,
parades,
barbecues,
carnivals, fairs,
picnics, concerts,
baseball games,
political speeches
and
ceremonies, plus
various other
public and private
events celebrating
the history,
government, and
traditions of the
United States.
Established in
1938, the
holiday is a
celebration of
independence.
|
Unfortunately,
today independence
is not always what
everyone planned
for in their
lives. All too
many people are
struggling with
finding
appropriate work.
Fortunately,
there's an ideal
solution: earning
work-at-home
income through a
hobby business.
Other
people are
approaching
retirement and
want to continue
to work at
something they
really enjoy.
Again, the ideal
solution is that
hobby they enjoyed
on the side
when they were
doing their real
job.
We're living in a
perfect time for
turning a hobby
into a business --
after all, the
Internet provides
a much bigger
platform from
which hobbyists
can reach others
who are interested
in their hobby.
It provides a
fantastic
opportunity to
earn money from
something they're
passionate about.
Why not start
taking control and
start a hobby
business instead
of running after
jobs that probably
don't exist and
may not be
enjoyable, if they
do.. Examples of
a hobby business
might be
collecting, games,
outdoor
recreation,
performing arts,
creative hobbies,
cooking, etc.
Three critical
areas on which to
focus in the
initial startup
phase of your
hobby business:
● creating a
top-quality
product or service
● implementing
a strategic
marketing program
● designing a
dynamic website

as the battle for
